Dr. Engel became interested in the field of oral surgery because it is a unique blend of medicine and dentistry. His training as a physician and a dentist allows him to offer his patients the highest level of comprehensive care that can be tailored to their specific needs.

Dr. Engel has been practicing oral surgery in Omaha for nearly 30 years. He grew up in Alliance, a small town in western Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with distinction. He received his DDS from the College of Dentistry in Lincoln and then completed his residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at UNMC in Omaha. He obtained his MD from UNMC with high distinction and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical fraternity.

Dr. Engel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and participates in many professional organizations including American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Nebraska Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association and Omaha District Dental Society.
